In a report released Mar 19, 2025, “the Tennessee Comptroller’s Office of Research and Education Accountability concluded that Tennessee could benefit from greater transparency and data reporting within its criminal justice system to help the public understand patterns and trends in the system’s operations and outcomes.”

This is exactly the mission that we have been pursuing in our efforts to improve the justice system and reduce crime in Memphis. We look forward to working with the Comptroller’s office and others as we continue our mission.

An example of our approach is what we refer to as the “Crime Funnel”. We look to bring transparency to each component in our efforts to improve the efficiencies of the process and reduce crime.
