We issued a press release regarding the deployment of the National Guard and the formation of the Memphis Safe Task Force.  The release states that in order to reduce crime, efforts must be made to improve the justice system in conjunction with addressing the initial crime.  Read the release here:

In a report released Mar 19, 2025, “the Tennessee Comptroller’s Office of Research and Education Accountability concluded that Tennessee could benefit from greater transparency and data reporting within its criminal justice system to help the public understand patterns and trends in the system’s operations and outcomes.”

This is exactly the mission that we have been pursuing in our efforts to improve the justice system and reduce crime in Memphis. We look forward to working with the Comptroller’s office and others as we continue our mission.
